Around the world, 9 in 10 children lack access to safe surgery. Without it, a broken bone can mean a lifetime of disability, while easily treatable conditions can cut a baby's life short. Kids Operating Room (KidsOR) believes in a world where every child has access to safe surgery.
Since 2018, they have installed over 70 Operating Rooms dedicated to children's surgery, providing the capacity for over 100,000 children to access life-saving surgery. That's 100,000 children who can play with friends, spend time with family, return to education, and lead the healthy, happy childhoods they deserve.
Supporting KidsOR helps them install more Operating Rooms, provide more state-of-the-art equipment, train more surgeons, and ultimately, transform the lives of more children.
The Reading Clinic empowers children by teaching them strategies to overcome reading and math difficulties, enabling them to shine. Dyslexic people are some of the most creative and influential people on our planet and include several presidents of the USA, Einstein, Picasso and Walt Disney to name a few. The Reading Clinic believes that early intervention and help should be available to all, not just those who can afford it.
Through education, KidsOR and The Reading Clinic have demonstrated how education in the community can effect and empower children and assist them and their families for generations to come.
